The Directory of Sources for the History of Women in Ireland contains
information on collections relating to the history of women in Ireland
from the earliest times to the present, gathered from public and private
repositories in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland. The
Directory covers over 14,000 collections and sources and contains over
100,000 pieces of information from 262 repositories. The Directory is
structured as two lists or indices, the Repositories index and the
Resources index, each containing a set of records. This page allows you
to choose to search across both indices or to search only one of them.
The Repositories index contains one record for each data repository
included in the Directory, giving location, access information, general
description, and contact details for the repository. The Resources index
contains one record for each item included in the Directory. Each record
includes the name of the repository holding the item and a general
description of the item.
