Ainm.ie Irish-language biography project

An Irish-language biography project developed by Fiontar, DCU, with Cló Iar-Chonnachta, and Diarmuid Breathnach and Máire Ní Mhurchú, original authors. The Dept. of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs is funding the initial strand to digitize and publish online nine volumes of Irish biographies (1986-2007). A valuable original study comprising biographies of Irish men and women, 1560-2006.

Irish Sporting Heritage

The Irish Sporting Heritage Project aims to compile an inventory of Ireland's built sporting heritage, existing and historical, over the last 150 years. MultiText Project in Irish History

The MultiText Project (UCC) provides resources for students of Irish History at all levels: University students, the general reader, and second-level students. The project aims to publish a minimum of 12 books, each dealing with a separate period of Irish history. Users can currently access over one million words of text and approx. 3,500 digital images free of charge on the website.

National Irish Visual Arts Library Artists' database

The Artists’ Database was compiled in order to improve public access to NIVAL’s extensive hard copy files of information on 20th century and contemporary Irish artists.
