Master Class: Advanced Digital Project Management

Abstract This master class will cover advanced topics in project management, building on the introductory sessions. Through hands-on exercises, consultations, lectures and discussions, participants will have an opportunity to develop and refine a project plan for their specific project. Specific topics will include defining project scope, planning project tasks, milestones, and deadlines, facilitating project control, and exploring time management strategies. Each participant will have completed the project plan template in advance of the workshop.

About Lynne Dr. Lynne Siemens is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business and School of Public Administration at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Her field of research includes entrepreneurship and small business, organizational behaviour, and management skills development in academic disciplines. She has led the Issues in Large Project Planning and Management workshop at University of Victoria's Digital Humanities Summer Institute for the past five years. In addition, Lynne has consulted with several research projects on issues of research team development.
