Date: Tuesday 23 February 2010
Venue: Seminar Room 203, The Moore Institute, NUIG
Presenter: Dr. Susan Schreibman, DHO Director

What we are doing in the first decade of this new century is engaging in a dialogue with past expectations of humanities scholarship, with ever-changing technology, with the pressure of the increased costs, a more collaborative work environment and a real fear of obsolescence of scholarly work. As more of our scholarship is created, presented and preserved digitally, we must ensure that the objects of our contemplation are available for the generations of scholars who follow us; that we leave a legacy that is preserved and treasured as a record of early 21st century scholarship. This talk will explore these themes focusing on new modes of research, new types of infrastructures and new models of scholarship and rewards.
All are welcome.
