A Calendar of Irish Chancery Letters, c. 1244-1509

The original rolls of the Irish chancery were destroyed in 1922. CIRCLE provides a reconstruction of these invaluable record. It brings together all known letters enrolled on the Irish chancery rolls during the Middle Ages (1244–1509) using copies, transcripts and calendars ranging in date from the fourteenth to nineteenth centuries. The website also includes sample images of original Mss.

Creating a searchable bibliographic and content description database of early modern "travel advice" (ars apodemica) literature, and digitize in searchable full text format documents belonging to this group.

Digital Resources & Imaging Services

Digital Resources & Imaging Services is a new department dedicated to the creation of digital content from the Trinity College Library Dublin's extensive collections of Early Printed Books and Manuscripts.
